What is Placester?

Placester is a website platform for real estate agents, teams and brokers: a template site with a page editor, lead capture and optional IDX, priced from $59 a month for a single agent on its pricing page as of 11 October 2026, with broker plans to $599. It is one of the lowest published entry prices for an agent website, and its real strength is exactly that: an agent can have a working site with IDX for under $100 a month without a sales call.

Its limit is the same as every template platform's: the pages, the area content and the Google Business Profile are the agent's job, and a $59 site that nobody writes for ranks like a brochure.

What is the real difference between Placester and TRES?

Placester sells software; TRES sells the work. On Placester the agent chooses a template, writes the pages, adds the IDX and keeps the site current. On Get Known, TRES builds the site, writes the area pages and two articles a month, and runs the Google Business Profile, reviews and listings alongside it, reporting all of it monthly. Google's SEO Starter Guide puts the ranking difference plainly: content “that your readers will find helpful and reliable” is what ranks, and someone has to write it.

Which costs less?

Placester, by a wide margin, if the agent will do the work: $59 to $129 a month plus $25 per IDX against $799. If the agent will not write pages or run the profile, the comparison changes, because an unwritten site produces nothing and the cheaper plan is the one that is wasted. Add the honest cost of the agent's own hours or a freelancer, and the gap narrows; add the Google profile management a Placester site does not include (TRES sells that alone as Get Found, $399), and the two land in the same range.

When should an agent pick Placester?

An agent who wants their own site with IDX quickly and cheaply, enjoys writing, has time every week for the profile, and does not want a 12-month commitment. Placester's Agent Essential at $59 is a sensible first site for a new agent on a budget who will do the rest themselves.

When should an agent pick TRES?

An agent who wants the site, the writing and the Google profile handled together and reported on one page a month, and who would rather approve than do. Get Known costs more because it includes the work; the 12-month term exists because the site is built up front, and the site is the agent's after it. An agent who only needs the Google side can start with Get Found at $399 and add the site later.
