Google Business Profile management companies for realtors: how to choose
Companies that offer to manage a real estate agent’s Google Business Profile fall into five groups, from software you run yourself to done-for-you services built only for agents. This page lays out the groups, what each costs on its public pricing page, the questions to ask any of them, and the red flags that should end the call.
Prices read from each company’s public pricing page on 11 October 2026. Top Real Estate Systems wrote this page and is one of the companies on it.

Eight questions to ask before you sign
- Who will own my Google Business Profile? The right answer is you, with the company added as a manager.
- Will you ever change my profile name? The right answer is no, unless your legal name changes. Keywords and cities in the name violate Google’s guidelines.
- How do you get reviews? The right answer is a link and a script you send to real clients after closing. No writing, buying or filtering.
- Who writes the posts, how many, and are they about my towns and my keywords? Ask to see three from a current client.
- How fast do you answer new reviews? One to two days is the standard to expect.
- How do you measure map rank? One search from one spot proves little. Ask for a grid scan across your market.
- What exactly happens in month one? You should hear: full profile rebuild, keyword research, baseline scan.
- What is the contract? Month to month is normal for profile management. A 12-month term is reasonable only when a website is built up front.
What kinds of companies manage a Google Business Profile for real estate agents?
Five kinds, and they are not interchangeable. Local-SEO software such as BrightLocal (self-serve plans from $41 a month for one location on 11 October 2026) gives you tools and you do the work. Reputation and listings platforms such as Birdeye focus on reviews and directory listings and quote prices on request. Website and CRM platforms such as Luxury Presence and Real Geeks ($399 a month plus a $500 setup fee on 11 October 2026) sell the website and lead system first and did not list Google Business Profile management on their pricing pages. General local-SEO agencies and freelancers serve every kind of business, from plumbers to dentists. And real-estate-only done-for-you services such as Top Real Estate Systems manage the profile for agents as the core product, from $199 a month.
What should a Google Business Profile company do every month?
At minimum: publish Google posts, respond to every new review within a day or two, keep categories, services, hours, photos and the description current, watch for Google's own edits and suspensions, track map rank from several points in the market rather than from one spot, and send a report you can read without a dictionary. Month one should include a full rebuild of the profile to Google's guidelines and keyword research for your market. Ask any company to show you a real client report before you sign.
What are the red flags?
Any promise of a number one ranking: Google states there is no way to pay for or request a better local ranking. Any offer to add keywords or your city to your profile name: that breaks Google's naming guidelines and is a common cause of suspension. Any plan to write reviews, buy reviews or filter out unhappy clients: Google's review policy and the FTC's consumer review rule both prohibit it. Asking to own your Google Business Profile or your ad account: you should remain the primary owner and the company should be added as a manager. And a report that shows one ranking from one location instead of a grid across your market.
Does an agent need a real-estate-specific company?
Not necessarily, but it helps. Real estate agents are an unusual case on Google: they are eligible to have a profile separate from their brokerage, they usually should hide a home address and use a service area, their reviews come in waves at closing, and Fair Housing rules shape what a post may say. A company that does this only for agents already knows those rules. A general agency can learn them, so ask how many agent profiles they manage and what happened the last time one was suspended.
How much should Google Business Profile management cost?
On 11 October 2026, self-serve software ran $41 to $65 a month for one location (BrightLocal), BrightLocal's done-for-you managed SEO ran $1,299 a month, and Top Real Estate Systems' done-for-you plans ran $199 a month for a new profile (Get Started) and $399 a month for full management (Get Found), with Google-plus-AI tracking at $599 (Get Chosen). Website platforms price the website first and quote the rest in a sales call. A fair done-for-you price for one agent's profile sits in the few-hundred-dollars-a-month range; well under that usually means software, well over it usually means a website, ads or a team is bundled in.
